Ch.9-2　オー勇敢なピグレット！ホー！

Here lies a tree which Owl ( a bird )
ここに木がある アウル（鳥）が好きだった

Was fond of when it stood on end,
ずっと立ってたときに

And Owl was talking to a friend
そしてアウルは友達に話していた

Called Me (in case you hadn't heard)
ボクのこと（聞いたことがないといけないので)

When something Oo occurred.
その時何かが、お、起こった

For lo! the wind was blusterous
何てこった！風が強くて

And fluttered out his favourite tree;
彼の大好きな木を倒してしまった

And things looks bad for him and we －
彼にとっては散々、そして

Looked bad, I mean, for he and us ー
ボクらも散々、つまり彼とボクら

I've never known them wuss.
ボクは泣き虫のことは知らない

Then Piglet (PIGLET) thought a thing:
それからピグレットあることを思った

"Courage!" he said. "There's always hope.
『勇気だ！』彼は言った『いつも希望はある

I want a thinnish piece of rope.
ボクは細いロープが欲しい、あるいは

Or, if there isn't any bring
なければ持ってきて

A thickish piece of string."
太いヒモを』

So to the letter-box he rose,
そこで彼は郵便箱の所へ立ち上がって行き

While Pooh and Owl said "Oh!"
その間プーとアウルは『オー！』とか

and "Hum!"
『ハム！』とか言って

And where the letters always come
その手紙がいつも来るところへ

(Called "LETTERS ONLY") Piglet sqoze
（『手紙のみ』と書いてある）>ピグレットは入れた

His head and then his toes.
まず頭を、それからつま先を

O gallant Piglet (PIGLET)! Ho!
オー勇敢なピグレット！ホー！

Did Piglet tremble? Did he blinch?
ピグレットは震えたか？ビビったか？

NO, No, he struggled inch by inch
いやいや、彼はじわじわと戦った

Through LETTERS ONLY, as I know
『手紙のみ』の中へ、というのは

Because I saw him go.
ボクは彼がそこから出るのを見たからだ

He ran and ran, and then he stood
彼は走って、走って、それから立ち止まり

And shouted, "Help for Owl, a bird
そして叫んだ『アウルを助けて、鳥だよ

And Pooh, a bear!" until he heard
プーを助けて、クマだよ！』すると聞こえた

The others coming through the wood
他のみんなが森からやってくるのを

As quickly as they could.
出来る限り急いで

"Help-help and Resque!" Piglet cried
『助けて、助けて、救出だ！』ピグレットは叫んだ

And showed the others where to go.
そしてその場所をみんなに教えて

Sing ho! for Piglet (PIGLET) ho!
歌え、ホ！ピグレットのために、ホー！

And soon the door was opened wide
そしてドアが大きく開かれ

And we were both outside!
ボクら二人は外に出た

Sing ho! for Pilet, ho!
歌え、ホ！ピグレットのために、ホー！

Ho!
