否定（ not ）の強調

否定（ not ）の強調には、[color color=”red”]not ＋ at all, in the least, by any means[/color] などの形を用いる。

A foreign language isn’t by any means easy to master.
外国語はマスターするのに決してやさしくはない。

＝ A foreign language is by no means easy to master.
not ＋ any は [color color=”red”]no[/color] と表現してもよい。

She doesn’t seem to understand the meaning in the least [ at all ].
彼女はその意味を全く理解していないようだ。
